Rain another accessory

Well, this past spring/summer season has certainly been a fashion challenge. Rain, more rain and rain with wind. Although the layering look seemed to fizzle out a while ago I welcome layers with open arms. I just picked up two beautiful sarong type wraps. One is a wow bright pink and the other is a soft baby blue. Having a wrap allows you to still wear those sleeveless tanks. I think the weather and the department stores have it in for the consumer. Can the wrap be the stimulus plan for Macy's? Anyway, they really do look great and are so comfortable. Since they tie at the waist they do not inhibit any outfit.....skirt, shorts or capris. You really have to love the wrap. Now onto footwear. The weather has the most effect on footwear. The rain forces you to rethink walking. Sometimes wearing the matching flip flops with an outfit is not going to work. Why you ask? Because of slippage. Yes, your feet, once wet, might slip around in the flip flop and cause you to go flop. Falling is not a fashion statement. So what to do. Enter Land's Ends rain boots. Available in all styles and colors. Wonderful, bright, colorful boots. They go with any outfit. Carry a small bag in your purse and bring along your flip flops to change into. Problem solved. Oh wait, the foot sweat in the boot. Fashion must move forward.......so here is to sunny days until we find a solution for the foot sweat inside those very stylish boots.

No Shark Pocketbook

So, shark week on TV is so amazing. It is hard to believe we swim in the same waters. John just showed us the 150lb Marlin caught today. What a beautiful fish. The gray/blue colors are amazing. John will cut up and create shark steaks. I thought, why not a pocketbook.....seems it will rot in 6 months. What...no use for the skin? I can't imagine that. I look so good in blues and grays. There must be something we can do with the skin?
